PREVENTATIVE CARE

Appointments

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits.

If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider.

Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment. We understand emergencies can happen and we will try to be flexible when lateness results from things out of your control.

After Hours

Our providers take emergency calls from their homes after hours. From 10 pm – 6 am our nurse triage service will assist you and connect you to the on-call physician if needed.

We encourage you to leave a message about routine questions (mild illness, appointments, and prescription refills) which we will address in the morning.

Well Visits

We believe in providing high-quality well-child care to promote safety, and health while giving careful examinations, immunizations, screening, and anticipatory guidance about normal development and behavior.

Below is a timeline for well-visit periods.

Emergencies

IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!

Emergencies are considered to be life-threatening conditions: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc.

In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

Patients who walk in with an emergency will be cared for immediately.

Walk-Ins

We strongly encourage calling to schedule an appointment, instead of doing a walk-in. Patients who walk in with a non-emergent condition will be fit into the schedule at the earliest time possible.

This sometimes requires returning a short time later when there is an opening in the schedule.

Sick Visits

We make every effort to reserve spots daily for same-day visits for sick or injured children. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize wait times.
