M.D. FAAP

Dr. Chelsea Welsh grew up in Auburn, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She then moved to Mississippi, where she served as a high school science teacher in an underserved school as a Teach for America teacher. This experience inspired her to continue to work to improve the lives of children by becoming a pediatrician. She returned to the University of Washington for medical school and graduated on to residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.   Dr. Welsh was excited to move back home to Washington to join South Sound Pediatrics. She is passionate about being a consistent part of children’s lives and helping children develop healthy habits and lifestyles as they grow into healthy adults. She enjoys combining her education and medical backgrounds to help her patients better understand their health.  Dr. Welsh lives with her husband and 2 sons. They enjoy biking, playing board games, and baking together.
